Growing up with Oprah, Where we are now! Part 2. And we continue

When Oprah was wanting to change focus and go after her own network, OWN was born. No longer the weekly television or day to day spots but a tremendous undertaking. Starting OWN was a large change for me, but over the years it has become even larger than Oprah, larger than all of us. OWN also gave me a chance to see where my mentors were now. The passing of Prince was personal to me. When you are growing up and the icons that fill your world, especially my music world and they slowly leave us, suddenly you realize that we can leave as quickly as we emerged.

An then there was Whitney......

Oprah was beginning the Life Classes. They were brilliant and so important to this very day. So much reinforcement and and seeing how far I had really come myself....

And after all my goal planning and moving myself forward, the largest life event I had ever been a part of, my Moms passing...

"I would search the segments looking for support.as much as possible. My friends, the people that are close to me did not know how to help me. It was tough for them. So I thought I could write a book on dealing with survival of my Mom. Instead of helping me, it was a day to reliving of the final moments, the first time she passed in the ER and her coming back to me tho last only two weeks. When they tried the third time to revive my Mom. I grabbed her hand and asked her for two weeks.. She did just that. Instead of healing others, I started healing myself. I was gathering stories from others that were taking care of their Moms. By being a part of their grief, all of a sudden my own grief became a celebration of having my Mom there with me for 12 amazing years with my own role as care giver, son, friend and soul mate."

When I would watch Oprah, it was if that day the message was for me. Oprah was always there for me . My go to for my own strength moments. I want to share a few that to this day inspire me and drive me forward

And the one that bought it home for me. I am this today. My feelings right now. So connected, I found the beauty of everything and the miracle of my every day. And I am here to pass my message on just like my mentor Oprah. We are all in this together...

So there you have it, the moments that made the largest impression on me and all the others that are connected. My goal was to share my joys, my strengths, my "Ah Ha" moments with you. They come every day because I ask for them. This is personal for me. I have truly found my happiness and I try to live it every day. No longer so hard on myself if not perfect every day. No longer stopped, but really living for me. If I can leave you with this one thought! Believe and Know you are capable of larger than life moments that are amazing, joyful and "Ah Ha"all in one. So lets move forward a step at at time..... together. Thanks for letting me share my mentor and inspiration in so many ways. OPRAH!... Cheers!
