Passion, my road to happiness!!

The dream of being a singer was my start or the just the thought of singing would take me on endless moments of standing in the spotlight. My beginning of connecting with that spark that gave so much energy and the start of my passion...Music drives me on so many levels. My entire life has always been filled with songs. We all need a theme song that gives you that connection. I collect them as they change all the time. So lets start with.....

Reality started getting closer as I would sing solo spots for programs and the constant support of people telling me that my voice was amazing. So, here I was a music major in college. Endless hours of voice training, music theory and the thought of being in the Metropolitan Opera house. What more could I ask for? Well a lot more. This passion would not quite fill me up.

Creativity. Hmmm!, that is something that drove me daily. Coming up with new ideas. Just knowing I was meant to do something bigger.

My real passion did not come till later in life. Always looking for more magic. Sadly, for some of my friends and for so many people, they always search and give up. Just the passion of having a passion becomes so overwhelming that we talk ourselves into thinking that this is all we are supposed to do here on this planet.

For those of us that are creative, there has to be a constant outlet of creating things, of showing our vision of something better. Be it through art, film, photography or design. For my friends on the analytical side, the constant quest for equation or the balance of theories explained. We all have the holes that need to be filled to stay in the game. Whatever the passion. It calls us day and night.

When you find something that will not let you sleep at night because you just had to do it. When you see yourself creating it or getting the accolades and acceptance of making a difference then you can be assured that you are finding your path and you are on the way to your own passion.

Its OK to try many different ideas as in my case, make up and hair artist, interior design, florist, special events, producing films, being a manager for talent. Whew!! But I keep going. Always searching till I finally found my real passion. Bringing people forward to show them what I know, Whether through film, through writing , through mentoring. its all connected. To give what I know from my heart to show everyone a higher moment. That is my reason for writing, for creating my visions of having passion.

As big as your dream or passion becomes, you cant let the unknown, the enormity of it stop you from starting. You have to take that step.

When you do, you feel happy. So excited, so full of energy that you begin to find yourself smiling, opening doors for people and saying hello to complete strangers.

Maybe I got carried away here but you see don't you?

My greatest advice I learned and share is you start each month with one thing that takes you closer to your passion. At the end of the year, you have completed twelve steps. The 12 steps to AP. Addicted to Passion! You will want more. It does not stop here. And here we go....

Some pointers to help you move each step closer.

Do not tell yourself that you have to complete this by a certain time.

Do not beat yourself up over missing a month, you can always catch up.

Enjoy the journey. Its your journey! A journey that no one can take from you. It is passion! A meaning for living!

Passion will make you get up and move and I will see you there. If you want to walk the red carpet, you have to find it first. Be passionate. Cheers to you.

So, I wanted to end this blog segment with someone that has been passionate all her life.

Wanting to bring joy either through entertaining or charity or being a role model to let us all know it gets better.

And I can assure you that it started with one step, then another and so on.
