I took a Moment to breathe, So now What?

Its that time again where we start to wrap up so many goals that we have made and go into Turbo mode so we can end the year with some breathtaking moments. All of this comes parading by as we turn onto Holiday Lane.

The year for me has had its challenges and some of those OMG moments. I would find myself wanting to run as fast as I could only to realize how would I get back once the panic stopped.

Having access to so many talented people, colleagues, friends and the whatevers, each one showing their marks or visions to me as I share my own. It's not a contest really but if you are a creative like me, you get excited over the unusual.

The different. The things that take you out of your box. If its an image or music or in my case to share a thought or passion that is whirling around inside of me.

To borrow from a friend, a Cherished Moment.

Pause for Music..

For me there are those moments right before I wake up where I am not quite asleep. The moments I have a really deep and sincere talk with myself where I am putting together what I want to say, to mentor, to entertain the people that have read my blog or the random reader from some village in China, Koala Limpur or Queens New York

My own evolutions to where I am being my best self at this very moment begging me to share my thoughts with you or even use it as a checking in moments with myself. Usually all smiles as I think of what I am wanting and how to get there.

There are a lot of changes happening for everyone as we start back to begin again our lives and revisit our dreams and goals. We all came thru a world pandemic. It would change some of us forever.

For some maybe not so much!

I like to find the lessons that are being taught to me because I had this thing happen, or I saw this amazing person. When it all comes together for me it just sums up to me my world of Happy.

When most people talk about happiness, they might be talking about how they feel in the present moment, or they might be referring to a more general sense of how they feel about life overall.

Some key signs of happiness include:

  • Feeling like you are living the life you wanted

  • Feeling that the conditions of your life are good

  • Feeling that what you have accomplished (or will accomplish) what you want in life

  • Feeling satisfied with your life

  • Feeling positive more than negative

  • Then there is the happiness most often associated with doing what feels good, self-care, fulfilling desires, experiencing enjoyment, and feeling a sense of satisfaction.

  • Then there is the big moments which have a name : Eudaimonia!!

This type of happiness is derived from seeking virtue and meaning. Important components of eudaimonic well-being including feeling that your life has meaning, value, and purpose.

It arrives when you have those days completing major responsibilities, investing in long-term goals, concern for the welfare of other people, and living up to personal ideals.

Since I am breaking it down here these are the parts of Happy

  • Joy: A often relatively brief feeling that is felt in the present moment

  • Excitement: A happy feeling that involves looking forward to something with positive anticipation

  • Gratitude: A positive emotion that involves being thankful and appreciative

  • Pride: A feeling of satisfaction in something that you have accomplished

  • Optimism: This is a way of looking at life with a positive, and fulfilling outlook

  • Contentment: This type of happiness involves a sense of satisfaction

What really matters here to ponder is how you personally define happiness.

Happiness is so big for some that it means different things to different people. Rather than looking at happiness as an endpoint, it can be more helpful to think about what happiness really means to you and then work on small things that will help you become happier.

“Happiness is not the absence of problems, it’s the ability to deal with them.” ―Steve Maraboli

“Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action. ”

“Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting some on yourself.”

“I needed to stop being what everyone thought I was.”

These are all affirmations I repeat to myself or basically anyone that listens to me.

So why was this analysis put into the middle of driving down Holiday Lane. What I am really wanting for you, my readers is to have at least one euphoric moment. One of the famous A Ha!! moments. The Holidays can be stressful. They can zap you of everything.

Sweet Dreams are Made of these

For me it is about continuing my traditions that I do for myself. Such as over decorating my home and putting Xmas cheer in every room. Even though there will be a very small number of my friends to see them. Its not for anyone but me. It makes me happy. There is that happy word again. Well it does and really thats what matters.

It does not matter if you can decorate a house, a car, a person or even yourself. Its the time of year where you can throw a strand of Xmas lights on anything and it becomes magic.

It's also the time when you might make someone feel a little better, more connected, more alive. We really are what is now at this moment. What is happening now. Where no becomes "Not right now".... The building blocks to yes. You have more controls then you give yourself credit.

So here is my last favorite from a mentor of mine

“I don’t want to survive. I want to live.” The Captain, Wall-E

Please take the time to thank yourself for all the things you have done or will do. In the end you own all of it. Whatever tries to stop you when you are feeling so incredible, that's on them, it's not on you. Forgive the haters, it will release you from them. It really is "Our Time"

Thank you for reading Live Live Live...... Until the next... Have the "Courage to Change"

Congrats on the holiday spirit and doing it for you. That joy is like a perfume, because as people come into contact with you, they can smell it. And they can’t help but notice, even if it’s subtle. I like Cruela as an anti-hero. She’s not a bad person, just misunderstood. Luckily Disney offered a different perspective with this new take. Just like your blog.
